Kodak Black Released From Prison

After being released from St. Lucie County Jail, Kodak Black, whose real name is Dieuson Octave, was transferred to South Carolina for a second warrant stemming from an alleged sexual battery case

A source close to Kodak Black confirmed to VladTV that Kodak Black is a free man and heading straight to Miami after his release. The rapper expressed his feelings via Instagram telling his 1.5 million followers, "I'm happy to finally be going home to my family and friends. I look forward to clearing my name in the very near future. I want to thank God, my family, my team (Vanessa, Phatboy, and James McMillan), Atlantic Records, my lawyers and all of my fans for your continuous love and support. I can't wait to get back to doing what I love most - working at being the illest rapper alive."

Roc Nation CEO Desiree Perez Pardoned By Trump


As one of his final acts as president of the United States, Donald Trump issued more than 140 pardons and commutations on Tuesday night (Jan. 19). Among those granted clemency were Roc Nation CEO Desiree Perez, early Death Row Records backer Michael "Harry-O" Harris and rappers Lil Wayne and Kodak Black, according to the White House.


Perez was granted a full pardon for being involved in a conspiracy to distribute narcotics, the White House said, a conviction that is more than 25 years old. "Since her conviction, Ms. Perez has taken full accountability for her actions and has turned her life around," the White House said in a statement. "She has been gainfully employed and has been an advocate for criminal justice reform in her community."


"I'm grateful to have received a pardon and to have formally closed that chapter of my life in the eyes of the law," Perez said in a statement provided to Billboard. "I have taken full accountability for my mistakes from 25 years ago, but I also take tremendous pride in my personal growth, perseverance and accomplishments since then. This pardon reinforces my lifelong commitment to advocate for criminal justice reform and social justice initiatives."

Kodak Black was arrested last week for violating terms of his probation, and the Florida rapper hopped on Twitter to let fans know that he is finally out. It was reported that the "Tunnel Vision" rapper lost $300,000 while he was locked up after he missed several shows.

Gucci Mane’s third single of 2023 is here, which is “Pissy.” This record also includes two huge features from Roddy Ricch and Nardo Wick. Gucci initially announced Pissy on Thursday, as he hinted that it may have vibes reminiscent of his 2009 “Lemonade” single. 


This comes after Gucci released his “06 Gucci” single featuring DaBaby and 21 Savage a month ago, as well as his “King Snipe” single featuring Kodak Black, in January.
