Make A Name For Yourself

(The Wrap-Up Magazine) If you don’t make a name for yourself, someone will make one for you. And it might not be the one you want. It's not easy making a name for yourself. You must find a way to stand out from the rest.

Consider these little known ways to do so:
1. Grow the trust. Oprah is the most trusted person in America. She’s also a billionaire. This is not a coincidence. So remember: The amount of money you make is directly proportionate to the number of people who trust you. Are you trustable?

2. Determine the destination. Don’t worry about how you’re going to get there. Begin with the end in mind and a road will eventually appear. Your problem will have no choice but to be solved. When was the last time you updated your vision board?

3. Eliminate the losers. Hang out with people who make money. Not people who want to learn how you make money. Do you need richer friends?

4. End the dependency. For once, try depending on you. At least you can trust that person. Right? Right?

5. Orchestrate the circumstances. “Well, it is what it is,” people resign. Bullshit. It isn’t what it is – it is what you ALLOW it to be. It isn’t what it is – it is what you RESPOND to it as. And it isn’t what it is – it is what you CHOOSE to change it into. Are you a make-things-happen guy, a watch-things-happen guy, or a what-the-hell-just-happened guy?

Where Did We Go Wrong?

(The Wrap-Up Magazine) Now tell me where we went wrong with love and maybe we can fix it. Why did we let everything change? With all the violence going on in the world, how can no-one see that its time for a change. “When things go wrong, you'll find they usually go on getting worse for some time; but when things once start going right they often go on getting better and better.”

The world need a better hand and new leadership. People act like they don't bleed until it touches home. “The major difference between a thing that might go wrong and a thing that cannot possibly go wrong is that when a thing that cannot possibly go wrong goes wrong it usually turns out to be impossible to get at or repair” “Just don't give up on trying to do what you really want to do. Where there is love and inspiration, I don't think you can go wrong.”

Nick Cannon Joins Black Lives Matter Protest

Cannon has released a series of politically charged spoken word pieces over the past few months, occasionally appearing with beads and a head wrap. Such was the case during Thursday's actions, after which he credited past Black Hollywood activists Harry Belafonte and Dick Gregory for their influence. "I like to practice what I preach so I'm in these communities constantly and taking meetings with district attorneys about criminal justice reform and prison reform. And it's so important, I mean, I've been given the spotlight so I want to say the proper things at the proper times," he told Entertainment Tonight. Dozens were arrested for civil disobedience offenses in the New York City rallies, before attention on them was lost to news of an assault at a protest in Dallas that claimed the lives of 5 police officers and injured half a dozen others.

The streets of New York City were no exception to the numerous locales that drew nationwide protests over the police shootings of Alton Sterling and Philando Castile, when on Thursday [July 7], demonstrations reared up from Union Square to Times Square. One such rally was led by America's Got Talent host Nick Cannon, who marched behind the banner of #BlackLivesMatter. Cannon is only one of scores of celebrities to speak out against police violence in the wake of Tuesday and Wednesday's shootings, turning the righteous direction he's recently set a path towards into action with thousands behind him.
