What If You Had The Chance To Meet The Rolling Stones?

The Rolling Stones is a British rock group, formed in 1962, that drew on Chicago blues stylings to create a unique vision of the dark side of post-1960s counterculture. As a diverging act to the popular pop rock of the early 1960s, the Rolling Stones pioneered the gritty, heavier-driven sound that came to define hard rock.

New Memoir Reveals Prince ‘Cheated’ Bassist Out Of Millions

For Mark Brown, the head games began with a cold call from Prince in 1981. And they ended, six years later, with the bassist — rechristened BrownMark, by Prince — confident that the rock star had derailed him out of millions in songwriting royalties.

As related in BrownMark’s new memoir, “My Life in the Purple Kingdom” (University of Minnesota Press), playing with Prince was the best of times and the worst of times — often at the same time. Like when he was cast in the movie musical “Purple Rain.”

“I took drama classes, joined SAG and acted in the movie,” Brown, 58, told The Post. “Then all my scenes were cut. Prince came up with some lame excuse about having to make the movie shorter.”

Before the fast talk and subterfuge, there was that unexpected call. Brown, then 19, took it in the Minneapolis rec center where his funk band rehearsed. “The first thing that went through my mind was that it couldn’t be Prince,” Brown said. “It was surreal.”

The True Life Story Of Metallica

Because they stuck around for thirty years and have made good music. They've played everything from thrash to lighter music. The heart of Metallica's success is the constant touring they've done throughout their career. The number of albums they produced is less compared to the span of time they've been around.

Metallica may have gone off to Never-Neverland if it weren't for the Rolling Stones. Lars Ulrich revealed that after a huge rift in 2004, the band nearly broke up for good. Metallica never sold out to the industry, they became a competitor in the industry.

What If You Had The Chance To Meet Guns N' Roses?

Guns N' Roses' debut album, Appetite for Destruction, reached number one on the Billboard 200 a year after its release. Is there any song that sums up the essence of Guns N' Roses more?

Although Guns N' Roses didn't officially break up, lead guitarist Slash left in 1996, Matt Sorum was fired in 1997 and bassist Duff McKagan quit later that year. Rose became a recluse, sequestered away at his home in Malibu.

As various members of Guns N' Roses began to encounter serious problems with drugs, namely heroin, Axl Rose decided to give the band an onstage ultimatum during a 1989 opening slot with the Rolling Stones.

Iggy Azalea Criticized Because Of Her Gender

Why is this happening to +Iggy Azalea? Iggy Azalea doesn’t think she’s getting a fair shake. In a new interview with Vanity Fair, the embattled “Fancy” rapper claims that cries of appropriation are unevenly distributed. “Well, they don’t say that stuff about Macklemore,” says Iggy. “I think it has 100,000 percent to do with the fact that I have a vagina.”

Citing The Rolling Stones, Elvis Presley, and Eminem, she says she feels there is little unusual about her rise to the top of a traditionally black genre. Recently, the Australian star has been unreceptive to olive branches from the likes of Q-Tip and Lupe Fiasco.

Whitewash Hip-Hop

Rapper Iggy Azalea performs at Irving Plaza on May 5, 2014, in New York. When asked about Forbes’ claim that hip-hop is run by a white, blond, Australian rapper named Iggy Azalea, incumbent queen bee Nicki Minaj laughed hysterically. The financial magazine may be qualified to calculate the $250 million valuation of Nicki’s Myx Fusions Moscato wine coolers, Nicki reasoned, but only the hip-hop community can bequeath the throne to Iggy.
