What Would You Do If You Met Van Halen?


What if you won the opportunity to meet and greet with Van Halen? What would you do? How would you react? Viewers and writers of the Wrap-Up Magazine want to know what would be your reaction to meeting the rock n roll group?

The band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2007. From 1974 until 1985, Van Halen consisted of Eddie Van Halen; Eddie's brother, drummer Alex Van Halen; vocalist David Lee Roth; and bassist Michael Anthony.

Whats Your Favorite Van Halen Song?


Van Halen is an American rock band formed in Pasadena, California in 1972. Credited with "restoring hard rock to the forefront of the music scene."

When Van Halen released their self-titled debut album in 1978, fans hadn't heard a guitar hero with such singular style since Jimi Hendrix. Eddie Van Halen did things with his guitar that didn’t seem humanly possible – he could make it hum like a helicopter one minute and crush like a bulldozer the next.

With singer David Lee Roth at the mic, the group had a natural showman who wrapped 70 years’ worth of stage entertainment into one motor-mouthed fireball. Roth quit the band and was replaced by Sammy Hagar, a rock-music vet who gave the group some much needed melodic thrust and provided them with a series of hit records.

David Lee Roth New Song Is Dedicated To Eddie Van Halen

 


David Lee Roth has revealed a lofty, acoustic guitar-driven new track that he has dedicated to his longtime bandmate Eddie Van Halen.


"Somewhere Over the Rainbow Bar and Grill..." was one of a number of previously-unreleased songs written and recorded by Roth and John 5 circa 2014, with Greg Bissonette playing drums.


Almost a month since Eddie's death, Roth was apparently moved to release the sentimental feeling track along with a message to his longtime collaborator and frenemy embedded in the artwork, "Hey Ed, I'm gonna miss ya'. See you on the other side..."
