The NBA’s Highest-Paid Players 2019-20

At $92 million, including salary and endorsements, James is the NBA’s highest-paid player for the sixth straight year. It is a record haul for an active basketball player. Nike is his biggest backer, and the company is naming a new research lab at its Beaverton, Oregon, corporate campus after James.

The four-time NBA MVP added a pair of endorsement deals in 2019 with Rimowa luggage and Walmart, which joined Coca-Cola, Beats By Dre, Blaze Pizza and NBA 2K in his sponsorship stable. He also has a budding digital media company, Uninterrupted, and a production firm, SpringHill Entertainment, which will release a sequel to the 1996 Michael Jordan vehicle Space Jam in conjunction with Warner Bros. in 2021. All of the off-court work is worth an estimated $55 million for James this season.

Stephen Curry comes in at No. 2 on the earnings list this year and is expected to generate $85 million this season, including $45 million off the court. Under Armour represents nearly half of his off-court income.

Curry’s $40.2 million salary from the Golden State Warriors is the highest in the history of the NBA; he’s in the third season of the five-year, $201 million contract he signed in 2017. Curry’s production company, Unanimous Media, has a development deal with Sony Pictures. Unanimous’ first movie, Breakthrough, was released in April, with Curry playing a role in marketing the Christian-oriented film, which grossed $50 million on a $14 million budget.

Durant has the NBA’s second-biggest annual shoe contract after James’ at an estimated $26 million this season. His total earnings from his playing salary and endorsements is $73 million. Nike sells more KD shoes in China than in North America, according to Durant’s business partner Rich Kleiman.

Like James and Curry, Durant has his own production company, which is co-producing a new basketball-themed drama, Swagger, that is inspired by Durant’s youth basketball experience and will air on the Apple TV+ streaming service.

Chance The Rapper Give Out 300 Pair Of Jordans

Chance the Rapper has done it again, just call him Santa. He held his monthly event OpenMike which was created in honor of his mentor Mike Hawkins and gave out some really nice Christmas gifts. Each attendee was given a pair of Jordan Retro 11s.

A video on Twitter showed Chano on stage at the Cindy Pritzker Auditorium with a sneaker box ready and the crowd going wild. Jordan was able to give 300 pairs of the unreleased 11s to the attendees of the event.

Earlier this year, Chance the Rapper planned to donate $1 million to Chicago schools. He also donated his Grammy Awards to his hometown’s museum. Chance continues to give back to his community and we hope he never changes.

LeBron James Breaks Michael Jordan’s Record

Congrads Cleveland Cavs on Lebron Jame breaking another record. LeBron James scored 35 points and passed Michael Jordan to become the NBA's all-time playoff scoring leader as the Cleveland Cavaliers beat the Boston Celtics 135-102 on Thursday night to claim their third straight Eastern Conference title and a return trip to the NBA Finals.

Kyrie Irving added 24 points and Kevin Love finished with 15 for the Cavs, who never trailed and led by as many as 39 points in one of their most dominating wins of the series. The Cavs set an NBA record by winning their 13th consecutive series closeout opportunity.

Cleveland's 4-1 series' win gives it a 12-1 record this postseason and sets up a third consecutive matchup with Western Conference champion Golden State, the team it beat in the Finals last season to claim the franchise's first championship.

The Cavaliers basically conceded the East's top seed to the Celtics at the end of the regular season by opting to rest its starters in advance of the playoffs. But they displayed their superiority over the final two games to wrap up the series.

The Air Jordan 1 Wings will release through Nike SNKRS on May 17th for $200 USD. The Air Jordan 1 Wings are designed to celebrate Michael Jordan's standout 1985-86 season.

Nike recently took us behind the design, which reveals that the shoe is actually a Black-based leather upper with a Gold undertone that is only revealed through agitation and stress. They also went on to say, “It’s reminiscent of a bronzed statue.”

Dressed in a University Red and Gum Yellow color scheme. This “Chicago” edition of the Air Jordan XX3 feature a full Red leather. Should this Air Jordan XX3 "Chicago" surface as a retail offering (perhaps at Jordan Brand's new stand-alone store in Chicago?)

They include upper that includes the city’s skyline graphic near the heel, along with Gum Yellow detailing throughout as well as the outsole. Other details include “CHI” and “CITY” embroidered on the sides, as well as Chicago’s area codes of “773” and “312” seen on the inside of the tongues.

On top of that, the vastly improved Charlotte Hornets have undoubtedly lined Jordan’s pockets (he’s been the majority owner since 2010) with a bunch of added dough while partnerships with Gatorade, 2K Sports, and Five Star Fragrances — as well as the long-term extension with memorabilia firm Upper Deck he signed last year — keep the checks coming. MJ’s empire even includes seven restaurants and a car dealership.
