Major Myjah signs deal with Roc Nation

 


Major Myjah, son of dancehall stalwart Bounty Killer, scores big in the R&B and hip-hop markets. Grammy Award-winning songwriter and singer  Major Myjah continues to count his blessings as he was recently signed to Jay Z's Roc Nation.


Major Myjah, who is the son of dancehall icon Bounty Killer, said that he is prepared to work hard to continue achieving "major milestones".


"It feels good but from my experience in the music industry, me know seh when yuh get dem deal deh, is when di work start. So me just ready fi put my head down and work hard. I'm proud and it's a major milestone [which] is super dope because [Roc Nation] is one of the greatest entertainment companies in America and the ceiling/standard is very high and there's a lot a dope things that comes with that. But I wanna work hard for it. I don't want it to come because they know who I am and it's Roc Nation," he told THE STAR.


"ROC Nation has been great, big up to everybody over there, they have been super great and helpful. The morale has been really great and I'm glad for that [because] it makes me feel happy to know that everybody is in line and enjoying what I'm doing and I'm able to be creating something that everybody can be happy and be proud of," he added.


The American-Jamaican, who recently arrived on the island to share more of himself with the people, said most of his 'credit' in music has been for his "behind the scene" work with renowned artistes such as Chris Brown, Usher and Damian Marley.
