In 2017, Jay-Z dropped “The Story of OJ” as part of his album ‘4:44.’ The song addressed comments allegedly made by O.J. Simpson while speaking to lawyer Johnny Cochran, who was defending the former NFL star in his trial. Now, O.J. has finally reacted, saying Jiggaman got it all the way wrong.
In a video that surfaced online, Simpson was asked what he thought about Jay-Z’s song and responded, “Well, first of all, [Jay-Z] didn’t say it right,” O.J. Simpson stated. “When Johnny [Cochran] was talking to me about it, and all that was going on was ‘Black, Black, Black,’ I said, man, f**k being Black, this is me. This is about O.J., You know?”
