Rap superstar Drake has broken many records, including surpassing The Beatles, and has reached a new milestone. Now, the “6 God” has tied with Jay-Z for the most No.1 albums on the Billboard Hip-Hop/R&B charts.
Champagne Papi is neck and neck with the legendary rap and business mogul Jay-Z for most No.1 albums on the Billboard Hip-Hop/R&B charts after dropping his collaboration album Her Loss with 21 Savage.
As of now, Drake and Jay-Z have a total of 14 No.1 projects. Her Loss is currently No.1 on the chart, shortly after the Toronto artist’s last solo album, Honestly Nevermind, was released in July.
Since Drake’s 2010 debut album, Thank Me Later, every solo album has reached No.1 on the Billboard Hip-Hop/R&B charts. Drake also had mixtapes hit No.1, such as What A Time To Be Alive featuring Future and the compilation album Dark Lane Demo Tapes.
Jay-Z, who also has many Grammys, last solo album was 4:44 in 2017, and every solo album of his has reached No.1 since his 1996 debut, Reasonable Doubt. Jay-Z has had collaborations albums go number 1, such as 2011’s Watch The Throne featuring Kanye West and 2018’s Everything is Love with his wife, Beyoncè.
