Black Panther, John Wick, and The Matrix headline Rolling Stone‘s list of 50 Best Action Movies of All Time. The new list corrals sci-fi epic films, bullet bonanzas, kung fu classics, and superhero films into one super list.
The list is led by Mad Max: The Fury Road at the top slot with Die Hard, John Wick, The Raid: Redemption and Enter the Dragon rounding out the top 5. The Marvel film Black Panther takes the No. 9 slots and is one of two Marvel films to make the list, joining Avengers: Endgame.
The second edition in the Marvel series, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, began production at Pinewood Studios in Atlanta in June.
“It’s clearly very emotional without Chad,” Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige said to Variety. “But everyone is also very excited to bring the world of Wakanda back to the public and back to the fans. We’re going to do it in a way that would make Chad proud.”
The film will feature returning director Ryan Coogler and actors and roles for the film are under wraps. Marvel would reveal that Danai Gurira, Letitia Wright, Daniel Kaluuya, Winston Duke, Lupita Nyong’o, Florence Kasumba, and Angela Bassett are all set for a return.
