Touré detailed meeting Kanye West for the first time amid the release of his debut album, The College Dropout. Touré revealed that he was surprised when he got to Kanye's apartment and saw a framed photo of the rapper hanging up.
When he asked Kanye West about the photo, Touré said that Kanye told him that if he couldn't believe in himself, no one else could. From there, Touré recalled Kanye showing off his new diamond chain from Jacob the Jeweler, which was of Jesus depicted as a white man with blonde hair and blue eyes.
Touré revealed that he found the depiction of Jesus as a white man to be an odd choice, and he admitted to instigating a conversation about Kanye's piece while hanging out with Jay Z. Touré then spoke about Jay Z clowning Kanye's piece.
