Mariah Carey was working on a memoir since 2018. On Wednesday, she said on Twitter that she’s completed the book.
“It took me a lifetime to have the courage and the clarity to write my memoir,” she wrote.

She said it recounts “my mishaps, my struggles, my survival and my songs. Unfiltered.” Carey worked on the memoir with Michaela Angela Davis and it’ll be published under Andy Cohen’s book imprint.
Mariah Carey is honoring the 30th anniversary of her debut album by releasing her memoir. The Meaning of Mariah Carey will be released in print and on Audible on September 29.
