Jennifer Lopez Named New Face of Versace

Who else better to be the new face of Versace other than Jennifer Lopez? Jennifer Lopez’s long-time relationship with Versace is coming full circle: The 50-year-old is representing the famous Italian fashion house’s Spring/Summer 2020 collection.

One photo features Lopez, who is engaged to baseball star Alex Rodriguez, sporting a green palm leaf suit with no shirt underneath, reminiscent of her iconic Versace dress which she wore to the 42nd Grammy Awards in 2000 with then-beau Sean “Diddy” Combs.


Lopez made headlines again in September when she walked the runway at the Spring 2020 Versace show during Milan Fashion Week wearing an updated version of the dress.

Versace also cemented the news by posting images of Lopez on its Instagram account. “To me, Versace represents empowerment. It’s a dream to collaborate with my friend @donatella_versace again on this gorgeous campaign and to create something new and fresh out of a piece of iconic fashion history,” Lopez is quoted in the post. 

 The brand is also releasing a $1,495 watch designed in the pattern of the dress, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The watch will be sold in stores in May and comes with an alternative black leather band.
