Gansta Marcus Talks Yo Gotti, Roc Nation, And Mississippi Prisons

In case you haven't heard, Jay-Z and Yo Gotti is out to sue Mississippi prison systems for all the wrong doing the system has encountered throughout the years.

Yo Gotti and Jay-Z's Team Roc, Roc Nation's social justice department, announced they joined forces in order to hire legal representation for 29 inmates in Mississippi. Those inmates criticized the prison conditions they and others have to endure and have called for change.

Ohio rapper Gansta Marcus instantly praised this notion and for good reason. Read the questions and how he answered each one with a home run answer.

A recent outbreak of deadly gang violence in Mississippi prisons has left five dead and brought the state’s long-running institutional problems under scrutiny and into the national spotlight.

Interview:

Why do you feel Roc Nation and Gotti making the right move?

This is something that should have been hit the lights of day. Mississippi has many crooked ways you could not believe. I can bet if books were opened, bodies would pop up from years ago!

What change do you think could take place?

Dealing with Mississippi, i'm a say none. Mississippi don't go by U.S. laws and rules. They have their own system, that's why you get off Greyhound bus lines in Memphis and enter through Delta bus lines.

What happened to you in Mississippi?

I had a young artist I was helping to further his career and lifestyle. He was killed in Cleveland, Mississippi local county jail. Not only was he killed inside the jail, but his killer was set free a week after his death.

In normal circumstances, if you were already incarcerated and killed someone, you probably will not be set free, your time will continue going on and a new case would be started. This was not the case at all.

Do you think Yo Gotti and Jay-Z will pull this off?

Even if they don't, this could bring investigations into something that may be bigger than we think. Mississippi is ran by a older generation who has old money. It's going to take someone of higher power to bring down all the corruption that has taken place.
