It's time to rate all mix-tapes that were released in 2018 from Lil Wayne, to Meek Mill. Over the past decade, mix-tapes have become just as important as albums.
New albums by your favorite artist are always exciting, but mixtapes can have their own appeal. A mixtape is sometimes part of a promotion for a larger upcoming project, or a way to hold fans over if an artist is busy and unable to release a full-blown album for the foreseeable future.
Some good 2018 mixtapes include Lil Wayne's Dedication 6: Reloaded, Logic's Bobby Tarantino II, and 6ix9ine's Day69. A lot of rappers and hip-hop artists release mixtapes because they do not have to worry about getting the rights to a sample, or just want to put out their own unofficial remix of a popular song.
