The south-side of Lima, Ohio is hurting for funds. With low income homes falling apart and families not being able to afford to feed their children, the city is hurting for grants.
I picked up the Lima News to find this article to be similar to other third world countries. Homeowners are addressing the problem like they take of their homes.
South side of Lima trashed
The City of Lima have been helping the problem by tearing down homes that are not being used. The landlord registry is trying t come up with a solution to address the ongoing problems that seems to keep growing.
Many of these houses were bought for cheap due to the market bubble. Some of the owner were looking for ways to make money not realizing the cost that comes with it.
The biggest problem with these homes are Bed Bugs, Black Mold, plumbing, and more.
