The legendary Grammy-nominated, hip-hop icon Slick Rick is touring Australia next month for the very first time playing all major capital cities, supported by a select group of talented locals including Def Wish Cast, DJ J-Red, DJ Peril, Alerts and Gaz Hazard.
This international tour builds off the back of recent touring throughout America with legendary hip-hop artists including Rakim, Roxanne Shante, Melle Mel, Big Daddy Kane and Kool Moe Dee.
Slick Rick Streams On Digital Platforms
Slick Rick then heads to Europe for another 12+ shows across seven countries in late March/early April for his Lyrics & Baubles tour. He will be joined by DJ Kaos and duo The Slickettes, as well as MC Lyte’s Next Top Female MC winner Intelligenz of Chicago and Lord Finesse of D.I.T.C.
The 30th anniversary of his timeless debut The Great Adventures of Slick Rick released on Def Jam Records (which featured production from The Bomb Squad and the late Jam Master Jay of Run-D.M.C.) album will be this November, with significant celebrations in the works.
Having collaborated with the like of Jay-Z, Aaliyah, Outkast, Missy Elliot, Mos Def among others, Slick Rick has undoubtedly created a lasting legacy that will continue to be celebrated for years to come as he enters the classic phase of his musical career.
