The stop was conducted at around 1:30 a.m. on Selma and Cherokee street
in Hollywood, soon after Tyga left Avenue nightclub. The press initially
believed the rapper was being arrested, but later reports state that he
was only cuffed and taken away so that a sobriety test could be taken
unobstructed by the paparazzi. After passing the test, he was ticketed
for a minor traffic infraction and released.
Tyga was detained by the LAPD for a short time early Wednesday morning,
April 12, after he was pulled over for driving with paper license
