Bill Gates could be the world's first paper trillionaire by the year 2042. Oxfam is a collective of international organizations working to end global poverty, and have been monitoring the world's richest people. Gate's wealth has continued to grow exponentially since he founded the global company Microsoft.
When he retired as CEO in 2006, his net worth has $50 billion. In the decade since, his net worth has increased dramatically to $75 billion, "despite his commendable attempts to give it away through his Foundation," according to the foundation.
This, in wake of a report by Oxfam claiming that the world's 8 wealthiest billionaires have as much money as the 3.6 billion people who make up the world's poorest demographics.
